Confirmations the moment a client books, and SMS and email reminders before the day with your address and prep instructions. You never send a single one by hand.
Once reminders are enabled in Glown, every booking automatically sends a confirmation when it is made and a reminder by SMS and email before the appointment.
Each message carries the time, your address and any prep instructions you have written, and the reminder reschedules itself if the appointment moves. Nothing is sent by hand. Reminders are included free. Glown charges 2% per booking, capped at ₦2,000.
Checking tomorrow's list and messaging each client is one of the last manual jobs left in a well-run salon. It is also the easiest one to hand over.
Sent whether or not you remember
The reminder does not depend on you having the energy at 10pm.
Your prep rules included
Written once, attached to every appointment from then on.
Always accurate
Move a booking and the reminder moves with it, so clients never get mixed messages.
Confirmation, reminder and reschedule notice, all automatic.
Nothing to send
Most owners spend part of every evening messaging tomorrow's clients. Glown does it for you, for every booking, without you opening the app.
SMS and email
SMS lands on any phone, anywhere, without an internet connection. In practice that matters more than any app notification.
Your instructions
Arrive with clean lashes. Come with your hair washed and blow-dried. Parking is behind the building. Put it in the reminder once instead of typing it fifty times a week.
Instant confirmation
A confirmation goes out the moment the booking is made, with the time, the service and what she paid, so nobody messages you to ask whether it went through.
Follows changes
Reschedule an appointment and the client is notified and the reminder re-schedules itself. No stale message arriving for a time that no longer exists.
Fewer gaps
A large share of missed appointments are not deliberate. They are simply forgotten. A reminder the day before turns most of those back into attended bookings.
01. Write your prep instructions
The things you tell every client before they arrive.
02. Turn reminders on
They apply to every booking from that point forward.
03. Stop messaging in the evenings
Confirmations and reminders go out on their own.
What owners ask before they hand the evening job over.
Once reminders are switched on in Glown, every booking automatically triggers a confirmation when it is made and a reminder by SMS and email before the appointment. The message carries the time, your address and any prep instructions you have written. If the appointment is rescheduled, the reminder moves with it. Nothing has to be sent by hand.
Both. SMS reaches a client on any phone without an internet connection, which matters in practice, and email carries the longer detail.
Yes. Whatever you find yourself repeating (come with clean hair, no mascara, parking is at the back, bring your own hair) goes into the reminder once and then goes out with every appointment.
Yes, immediately, with the service, the time and what they paid. It removes the follow-up message asking whether the booking went through.
The client is notified of the change and the reminder reschedules itself to the new time, so no message goes out for a slot that no longer exists.
They help significantly, because a large share of missed appointments are simply forgotten rather than deliberately skipped. For the rest, a deposit is what changes behaviour. The two work best together.
No. Automated SMS and email reminders are included. Glown charges 2% when a client pays for a booking, capped at ₦2,000, and nothing monthly.
